No. Lease Exchange is NOT a subleasing service.
Subleasing often means the original tenant remains responsible for the lease while the new tenant rents from them. This can create legal risks and conflicts.
Instead, Lease Exchange facilitates full lease pass-downs (lease reassignments), meaning:
The original tenant is fully released from their lease obligations.
The new tenant signs onto the lease directly with landlord approval.
The landlord maintains full control over lease terms.

We operate on a simple, transparent pricing model:
$50 flat service fee per completed lease transfer.
10% fee on any lease premium paid by the incoming tenant.
Example: If a future tenant pays a $500 premium to secure a lease, Lease Exchange receives $50 flat + $50 (10% of $500) = $100 total.
There are no hidden costs, and you only pay if your lease transfer is successful.

If a lease transfer is denied by the landlord, the future tenant receives a full refund (minus the $50 flat fee, which covers administrative costs).
If the future tenant backs out, the original leaseholder is not financially responsible—they can relist their lease for a new buyer.
